01. Our Commitment
FrostByte PCs is committed to providing quality custom gaming computers, professional assembly and reliable customer support.
This policy explains our voluntary workmanship warranty, component warranty assistance and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Our voluntary workmanship warranty provides additional protection and does not replace or limit any consumer guarantees provided by law.
02. 12-Month Workmanship Warranty
FrostByte PCs provides a voluntary 12-month workmanship warranty on computers assembled by FrostByte PCs.
The warranty starts when the computer is delivered to or collected by the customer.
Covered workmanship defects may include:
- Incorrectly installed components.
- Faulty internal connections caused by assembly.
- Assembly errors attributable to FrostByte PCs.
- Other defects directly caused by our assembly work.
If a covered workmanship defect occurs during the 12-month period, FrostByte PCs will assess the issue and rectify the covered assembly defect without charging for the covered repair work.
Depending on the issue, we may provide troubleshooting, inspection, reassembly, correction of connections or another appropriate repair.
This voluntary warranty is additional to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Those rights may continue beyond the voluntary 12-month warranty period.
03. Component Warranties
Components supplied by FrostByte PCs may also have manufacturer warranties.
Warranty periods and conditions vary depending on the manufacturer and product.
If a component supplied by FrostByte PCs develops a fault, contact us for assistance.
We may assist with troubleshooting, inspection and manufacturer warranty processes where appropriate.
You do not have to deal directly with the manufacturer instead of FrostByte PCs when exercising your Australian Consumer Law rights against us as the supplier.
Manufacturer warranties and voluntary warranty periods do not replace statutory consumer guarantees.
04. Customer-Supplied Components
For build-only services where customers provide their own components, our voluntary workmanship warranty covers assembly work performed by FrostByte PCs.
It does not provide a separate FrostByte manufacturer warranty on customer-supplied parts.
Where a problem is caused solely by a defective customer-supplied component, the customer may need to contact the original component supplier regarding that component.
However, where the problem results from our assembly workmanship, the customer may be eligible for assistance under our voluntary workmanship warranty or applicable consumer guarantees.
Applicable Australian Consumer Law rights relating to our assembly services still apply.
05. Warranty Exclusions
Our voluntary workmanship warranty does not cover issues caused solely by:
- Accidental or deliberate physical damage after delivery.
- Liquid damage or improper handling.
- Unreasonable misuse or operation outside intended conditions.
- Third-party modifications that directly cause the fault.
- Software problems unrelated to assembly workmanship.
- Normal wear and tear unrelated to defective workmanship.
Upgrading a component or opening a computer case does not automatically void all warranty protection.
We will consider whether any modification or customer action actually caused the reported issue.
These exclusions apply only to our voluntary workmanship warranty and do not limit or remove consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law.

07. Australia-Wide Warranty Support
FrostByte PCs supports warranty enquiries from customers throughout Australia.
Melbourne customers may be able to arrange a local return or inspection by appointment.
Interstate customers may be assisted through remote troubleshooting or suitable shipping arrangements.
Where required by Australian Consumer Law, FrostByte PCs will pay or reimburse reasonable return and transport expenses.
For covered voluntary workmanship warranty claims, we will discuss appropriate arrangements for getting the computer assessed and repaired.
For claims outside our voluntary warranty and applicable consumer guarantees, any proposed inspection, repair or transport charges will be explained before proceeding.
08. Warranty and Consumer Guarantees
Our voluntary workmanship warranty does not exclude, restrict or modify your statutory consumer rights.
Consumer guarantees may apply to both the components supplied by FrostByte PCs and the assembly services we provide.
These rights may apply even after a manufacturer's warranty or our voluntary 12-month workmanship warranty has expired.
The remedy available depends on the nature of the problem and the applicable legal requirements.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time.
If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
